Description

Unlike typical grid-tied AC systems, the short-circuit current available within a PV system is limited, and over-current protection devices need to operate effectively at low fault current levels. CHIFENG's CFPV fuses can protect your off-grid or grid-tied PV system from accidental ground faults and line faults.

CHIFENG have offered a compact, safe and economic circuit protect solution for solar system. As one of the CHIFENG's solar broad portfolio of fuse products, the 1000Vdc CFPV NH fuses are specifically designed for the protection of photovoltaic system. The rated voltage of this serie of fuses is up to 1000Vdc, the rated current is up to 50A, and the rated breaking capacity is up to 50KA. Fuse link element is encapsulated in the high-strength ceramics with the benefits of compact body size and high capacity of thermal shock resistance.

FAQ

Q: How fuses work?

A: As an overcurrent protective device, the fuse acts as "electricity’s safety valve" by providing a weak link in the circuit path that, when properly applied, will melt and open the circuit to minimize or eliminate any damage that can be caused by an excessive flow of current. There are many fuse varieties and constructions, each developed to address an application’s need for a particular kind of overcurrent protection.

Q: What is the "a" fuse link?

A: (Partial-range breaking-capacity fuse-link, formerly back-up fuse-link) current-limiting fuse-link capable of breaking under specified conditions all currents between the lowest current indicated.

Q: What is the ambient air temperature?

A: The temperature of the air surrounding the fuse (at a distance of about 1 m from the fuse or its enclosure, if any).
