Zenith Global Logistics, a specialized furniture carrier and logistics provider, has relocated and expanded its freight hub in Maryland to an 88,000-square-foot facility in Aberdeen.
The new facility is triple the size of its former hub in Elkton, Md., which has allowed the company to add full-service warehousing to its service offerings.
Jack Hawn, Zenith's president and CEO, said the Aberdeen site will enable the company to continue to provide timely shipments to New England and the Northeastern U.S.
"This new location was chosen specifically to enable our dispatching operation to deal with the latest hours of service changes required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's compliance, safety and accountability rules," Hawn said. "Our goal was to select a location that would ensure our drivers could consistently transport product from North Carolina to Maryland within the new driving time limits."
With the addition of warehousing capabilities in Maryland, Zenith now offers full-service warehousing at four of its regional hubs.
