TSMC CEO Morris Chang says he expects TSMC to grow its revenues 15-20% this year with a surge in revenues starting this month.

Chang has already said he expects to be the only significant supplier of 28nm ICs in 2013 as Samsung and GloFo struggle to get gate-first 28nm ICs into production.

TSMC had March sales of  $1.4bn – up 7.2% on February's sales and up 18.9% over sales in March 2013.  Q1 sales were $4.42bn – 25.7% up on Q1 2012.

UMC had March sales of $320m - up 6.8% on the $300m of March 2012 and Q1 sales of $928m - up 5.7% on the $877m of Q1 2012.

TSMC's February sales were $1.38bn which was 13% down on January but 21.5% up on February 2012.
